What IS a left twist rope? A true left twist rope is a rope that is actually spun to the left, tied to the left, and ready to be swung in a counter clockwise direction — basically everything opposite from a right hand rope. A left twist rope is intended only for a person who ropes primarily with their left hand.
We’ve chosen our red/white/blue Synco for this side by side comparison picture so you can see the direction of the rope more clearly. The rope on the left is the right handed rope — notice the loop going in the right hand with the coils to the left, as well as the hondo being tied with the knot to the right. The colors are also able to be seen twisting (spiraling) to the right. The rope on the right is the left handed (left twist) rope — notice the loop going in the left hand with the coils to the right, as well as the hondo being tied with the knot to the left. The colors are also able to be seen twisting (spiraling) to the left.
